I'm Installing Windows Server 2012 on my Dell Server, (on another hard drive the same server is running the ESXi server).
Started with the project at 7:55 pm.
Going with the Windows Server 2012 Standard Evaluation (Server with GUI) option,
It was Done installing at 8:16.
I was excited to hear that Microsoft was going to put a native hyper-viser inside of Server 2012, much like the ESXi. See the Link for more info http://www.zdnet.com/new-version-of-microsoft-virtualization-management-tool-bundle-coming-in-q4-2012-7000003903/
After I got it installed, I found out that my Dell server can't do the virtualization. Sad Day!
So I swapped out my hard drive and put the ESXi 4.1.0 OS back in.
At another time, i'll plug it back in and play with the Active Domain Controller side of things.
I'll be looking into Citrix's XenServer Free, It looks like it will run on my dell, and I can use the "Receiver" Program/app on everything. More to come this week. I've downloaded it and am burning to a disk.
